For the second time in as many days, firefighters were called to a home on Manitoba Avenue.

Around 2:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews were called to the 600 block of Manitoba Avenue. The back porch of the home was on fire when they arrived.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire, protecting the surrounding homes. The six occupants had self-evacuated and no injuries were reported.

This is the second incident on Manitoba Avenue in the past two days. On Tuesday morning, WFPS was called to a house in the 300 block of Manitoba. No injuries have been reported yet.

The cause of both fires remains under investigation.
