Two inmates charged with second-degree murder after stabbing at Stony Mountain Institution
A 27-year-old man from Wasagamack is dead after being stabbed in Stony Mountain Institution. Stonewall RCMP were called to the jail shortly after 10 p.m. for the report of a suspicious death. Officers responded immediately and located a 27-year-old man who appeared to have been stabbed. 26-year-old Evander Brightnose from Cross Lake and 22-year-old Theodore Anderson from Winnipeg have been charged with second degree murder. Stonewall RCMP, along with the RCMP Major Crime Services, continue to investigate.
