A stolen vehicle resulting in a foot chase leaves one woman facing eight charges.

Police identified a black truck driving recklessly downtown yesterday afternoon.

The truck's rear wheels spun out and caused the truck to "fishtail uncontrollably" in the lunch-hour traffic.

Authorities attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the female driver and two male passengers abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

The driver was apprehended and is facing several charges. The two male passengers were able to evade police during the chase.

After detaining the 26-year-old woman, officers found an unauthorised firearm in the vehicle.

The truck's plates were discovered to not belong to the vehicle, and the woman was driving with a suspended license.

The 26-year-old is charged with Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order, and five other related charges.
