The Winnipeg Public Library is now accepting applications for the position of Writer in Residence.

Each year the Winnipeg Public Library picks the perfect candidate to provide one-on-one mentorship and public workshops for emerging writers of all genres in our city.

During their term, the Writer-in-Residence works with dozens of emerging Manitoba writers by email and phone, as well as through in-person consultations and workshops. The Writer-in-Residence also hosts public workshops and programs in Winnipeg to share their special expertise in any genre from songwriting to memoirs to classical poetic forms. The residency also includes time to work on a personal writing project.

The Writer in Residence term runs for six months from October 1, 2018 until April 30, 2019.

The deadline for applications is June 11, 2018.
