Winnipeg music director releases first single in new EP, 'sharing the word of God through music'

Danielle Savard is releasing the first single 'Wilderness' from her new EP Warfare.

Savard is a church music director in Winnipeg as well as a Music Therapist. 

"This has been such a project in the works," says Savard. "This is volume one of the Warfare album and it's all about spiritual warfare. It's an amalgamation of personal experiences. I really resonate with Ephesians 6, which says we're fighting principalities and powers in this world and the darkness that is out there."

Savard wanted to release her first song today intentionally as this week is the beginning of Lent leading into Easter. The 40 days of Lent represent Jesus's 40 days in the wilderness after He was baptized. 

"It's an invitation for us to enter into the wilderness with Christ and not be afraid to get close to Him. To walk through the desert with Him."

Her next single 'Defender' will be released on Good Friday leading into Easter weekend.
