Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews recently fought fires at a residence twice.

Crews responded to reports of a fire at a two-storey converted residential dwelling in the 300 block of Manitoba Avenue.

First getting called at 5:44 p.m. on Monday evening, crews launched an interior fire attack, using hose lines and a fire suppression tool to put the flames out. It was declared under control at 6:48 p.m.

Over seven hours later, at 2:22 Tuesday morning, firefighters were called back after a fire was found during a fire watch check. Crews quickly entered the building to put the blaze out, declaring it under control at 3 a.m.

No injuries were reported as the dwelling was unoccupied and boarded up due to a previous fire on March 27, 2024.

The cause of both fires is under investigation.
