A few major route closures might effect your weekend commute.

Bishop Grandin Boulevard at Pembina Highway

The eastbound off-ramp that runs from Bishop Grandin to Pembina will be closed from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2 until Sunday, June 4 at 8:00 p.m. for construction of the Southwest Rapid Transitway overpass. Drivers looking to get onto Pembina will have to use Waverley Street south to Bison Drive or north to McGillivray Boulevard.

Ferry Road between Bruce Avenue and Ness Avenue

On Saturday, June 3 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Ferry will be closed to connect sewer and water to a private residence. North and southbound lanes will be shut down, while pedestrian access will be maintained on the east sidewalk.

St. Mary Avenue between Kennedy Street and Memorial Boulevard

From 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, St. Mary Avenue will be completely shut down for a parade. The parade will also shut down the following streets:

  • Smith Street from Broadway to Portage Avenue
  • Northbound Osborne Street North from Broadway to Memorial
  • Northbound Memorial from Memorial to Main Street
  • Eastbound Portage from Memorial to Main
  • Main from Portage to St. Mary Avenue
  • William Stephenson Way from Main to Israel Asper Way

Regent Avenue West

Starting Friday, June 2, Regent Avenue West between Winona Street and Kanata Street will be closed and will remain closed until midnight on Sunday, June 4. On Saturday, June 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Regent between Plessis Road and Wayoata Street will be closed for the Transcona Hi-Neighbour Festival Parade. Pedestrian access will be maintained in both cases.
