A fire that started in a vehicle parked on a driveway ended up spreading to a Transcona home Sunday morning.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of the vehicle fire at 7:38 Sunday.
By the time they arrived firefighters found heavy flames which had extended to the home.

Firefighters initially fought the fire from inside the home but were forced out as conditions deteriorated. Crews were eventually able to return inside the home to finish putting out hotspots.
The WFPS says the fire was declared under control just before 9:00 a.m.
There were no injuries reported, but the home suffered significant damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
