More pre-packaged vegetables are being recalled from the marketplace due to Listeria monocytogenes concerns.

Pre-packaged kale salads were first recalled in late October, and then several fresh-cut vegetables were recalled in early November as well.

Now the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says that further product testing has led to another recall.

Mann's Veggie Power Blend has been recalled. The product was sold in 4 x 32 oz packages. The CFIA says all product with all codes is under the recall. If you have the product it should be thrown out or returned to where you purchased it.

The CFIA says that food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.

Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are, particularly at risk.

Although infected pregnant women may experience only mild, flu-like symptoms, the infection can lead to premature delivery, infection of the newborn or even stillbirth. In severe cases of illness, people may die.
