"A few years ago, the Cuban government opened up for ShareWord," explained local member Randy Falk. "It's one of a handful of organizations to pass out scriptures, or scripture-based magazines, to the homes in Cuba. Being a Communist country, we are just so excited, and want to take full opportunity of the window that's available to us, while that's there, to let the Gospel be shared."

Getting into ministry was never the goal for Connor Gerbrandt, who has been leading the youth group for the last few years at Anchor Point Church at 1400 Pembina Highway.

Olympian Scott Hamilton leaning on God, sees 3rd brain tumour shrink

Gold-medal Olympic figure skater Scott Hamilton is sharing a powerful miracle story after being diagnosed with a third brain tumour.

Hamilton has had a long journey with cancer, dating back to his first diagnosis of testicular cancer in 1997. Hamilton underwent surgery and chemotherapy to beat this initial diagnosis. Then in 2004, Hamilton was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. It would be the first of many as he was diagnosed with another brain tumour in 2006 and again in 2016.
