Teresa Renkenberger knows all to well what it’s like to experience difficulties in life, and that’s a big reason why she works hard to help others.

Now a successful realtor, Renkenberger has spent many a hours working with people experiencing homelessness in Flowood, Mississippi.

Those long days led her to befriend one man by the name of Benny. She asked Benny how long it had been since he had had a shower. His response was, a year.

That led Renkenberger on a journey to find a food truck that she would eventually convert into a mobile shower unit.

Renkenberger, along with help from friends and family, now offers free showers to people experiencing homelessness. She says it's a simple act that change a persons life, at least for the day.

She is now working on finding a second truck that she can convert into a mobile laundromat. She would also eventually like to offer free haircuts to the those living on the streets in the Flowood community.
