There are no injuries after an early-morning hoax phone call.

At around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Thompson General Hospital received a distressing call. On the other end of the line was a man, telling them an IED was in the hospital and they needed to evacuate.

RCMP officers attended the scene, searching for the possible threat. After searching the 89-bed hospital and a nearby administrative building, no devices or suspicious packages were found.

The call is determined to be a hoax and the hospital's 55 patients and staff were not evacuated.

Authorities are now conducting a Public Mischief investigation.
