The Government of Manitoba is helping residential renters feel more at ease as they extend two temporary provisions until September 30.

Several months ago, on March 24, Premier Brian Pallister announced two measures would be in place to protect residential tenants during the pandemic.

Beginning April 1, landlords were not permitted to increase rent while the measure was in place, as well as all "non-urgent matters" regarding eviction hearings were postponed.
