Four people face charges after Thompson RCMP seized a significant amount of cash, multiple cell phones, and drug-related paraphernalia. 

As a result of an ongoing investigation, on June 28, RCMP officers with the Thompson General Investigation Section (GIS), along with assistance from the Emergency Response Team (ERT), Police Dog Services (PDS), North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) and Thompson Detachment, executed search warrants at four separate locations in Thompson, in relation to the trafficking of cocaine.

Officers seized close to $250,000 in cash, a small quantity of crack cocaine, numerous cell phones and other drug-related paraphernalia.

Two people from Ontario have been remanded into custody on several charges including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. A 28-year-old from Mississauga and a 28-year-old from Toronto. A 37-year-old Thompson male was also remanded.

A 32-year-old female also from Thompson was arrested and then released for court scheduled in August where she will face a charge of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
