Brandon RCMP says on early Saturday morning officers pulled over an impaired driver in their 20s who was speeding in the rain.

On June 20 at 12:54 a.m, RCMP pulled over a Honda Civic on Highway 10. Police say the road was very dark and wet due to light rain, but the young driver was speeding while driving down the road.

The car was noticed by officers, as it was going 191 km/h.

While pulling them over, RCMP discovered the driver was a 20-year-old novice driver and was driving while impaired with a Blood Alcohol Concentration of 110 mg per cent. For Novice Drivers in Manitoba, they must maintain a zero per cent BAC.

RCMP says the driver is facing multiple charges, including driving while impaired and speeding.
