Police are baffled after a Winnipeg home has been shot at multiple times without a known cause.

The Winnipeg Police have responded several times to a home after reports of being shot at. The WPS is trying to figure out who is doing the shootings and why, and are now asking for the public's assistance.

Shots were reported from November of last year to mid-January. Police say the last shooting occurred "about a week ago."

Police believe the multiple shootings are related to each other and they are considering that it may be related to gangs. The home is in close proximity to Brooklands School, a Kindergarten to Grade Five school.

"Almost every single instance where we have shooting that occurred in pubic is gang-related," Constable Rob Carver says.

The Winnipeg Police Service is asking residents for their assistance and to give any information that may help the case. They are looking for surveillance videos and reports of unusual activity in the area.

"We are finding help from the public in ways that we hadn't before," Const. Carver says. "A number of cases the past year have moved forward significantly" with the public's help.

The shootings have occurred at multiple times of the day, with the exception of mid-day.
