Located in the heart of downtown Winnipeg on Princess Street, One88 has been successfully running for five years.

One88 is a ministry of Eastview Community Church. Their mission is to create space for people to meet Jesus.

Dave Ens, the pastor at One88, says that they don't want to give their leftovers to the community. "We believe very strongly that we should give our best," he said. "It's deliberate on our part to create a very comfortable and well put together environment."

The ministry also has the second-best coffee in the city, Ens said. He isn't sure who has the first, but that is what he has been told.

"We believe that God values all people," Ens said.

The church is putting on a BBQ on Thursday, May 25. They run these BBQ's throughout the summer on the last Thursday of the month. Ens said it's important that they continue to show up month after month, instead of just helping out one time and then leaving.

The ministry needs sneakers and socks for their ministry right now as well. Ens said a lot of their regular attendees walk for most of the day and they go through shoes quickly. Size 9 to 12 shoes are the most popular, with 9-1/2 to 10 being the highest demand.
