Movie theatres are making their way outdoors for August! Here's where you can take your family to catch an open air movie.

Movies in the Park

Movies are back at Lyric Stage in Assiniboine Park. Grab your lawn chair and watch your favorite movies out on the grass. Two features every Friday make it easy to bring the kids too or to get away from them for a bit with your significant other.

  • August 4: Sing (7:00 p.m.), La La Land (9:15 p.m.)
  • August 11: Finding Dory (7:00 p.m.), Captain America: Civil War (9:15 p.m.)

  • August 25: Trolls (7:00 p.m.), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (9:15 p.m.)

Movies on Memorial

Located just north of the Legislative Building, Movies on Memorial is back with your favorite 90's movies every Tuesday. Movies all start at dusk, and the sun sets around 9:00 p.m. at this time of year. If you want to come early, there will be plenty of fun stuff to do.

  • August 1: The Little Rascals
  • August 8: Spice World
  • August 15: Space Jam
  • August 22: It Takes Two
  • August 29: Jumanji

Transcona Movie Nights

You can catch family movies at Transcona Centennial Square and all you need to bring is a blanket and some lawn chairs. Movies start at 9:15 p.m. every Thursday all August long.
