Volleyball tournaments and CMU's basketball teams dominated the weekend.

College Basketball

Canadian Mennonite University Blazers played back to back games against Association Free Lutheran Bible School, coming away victorious in all four. The men won 80-61 and 91-78, while the women won in a dominant fashion, 100-28 and 86-21.

The Providence Pilots split their weekend games down in North Dakota. The men lost to Dakota College at Bottineau 84-136, but picked up a win against Stone Child College, 112-107. The women lost their first game to the same team, Dakota College, by a score of 48-72. They defeated Stone Child College 77-69.

College Volleyball

The Blazers played Red River College, with the women losing in five and the men winning three straight sets.

College Soccer

It was a huge weekend for the Providence Pilots, who are heading to the NCCAA Nationals in two weeks. Both the men's and women's teams brought home the championship to Otterburne. You can read the full story here.

High School Volleyball

Linden Christian had players all over on the weekend. The junior varsity girls came in second at the Maples tournament, while the junior varsity boys were B side winners at River East. The varsity girls played in Brandon, winning the consolation side there, while the boys lost in the first playoff round at MBCI. The junior high team won at Immanuel Christian.

The MBCI varsity girls were in St. Vital over the weekend, finishing first in their power pool before heading to the chapionship draw as the fifth seed. They lost to the eventual champions in four sets before finishing in seventh by defeating Vincent Massey Brandon in three straight. The junior varsity boys made it to the quarters before losing to St. Paul at the River East tournament.

Calvin Christian varisity boys found themselves in a 29-team tournament in Brandon. They boys played really well, defeating the number two ranked Neelin 25-18 and 26-14 in the round robin. They stayed undefeated until the semi-finals, before a rematch with Neelin saw them at the wrong end of the score. They lost two of three sets, but landed two tournament all-stars. Evan Vaags as the setter and James Unger as the libero.

High School Indoor Soccer

MBCI girls played SJR in the Winnipeg Indoor High School Soccer League, picking up a 9-4 win.
