Balmoral closed after serious collision

A stretch of Balmoral Street is closed Wednesday morning after a serious motor vehicle collision overnight.

The Winnipeg Police Service says in a tweet that officers are still on site of the collision.

Balmoral is closed between Sargent Avenue and Cumberland Avenue.

The WPS says they expect the closures to possibly extend through the morning.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area and plan an alternate route.
