A man is facing two charges after a collision resulted in the death of a 37-year-old pedestrian.

On September 10 of last year at four p.m in the 700 block of William Avenue, a woman attempted to cross at a pedestrian corridor with cautionary lights active.

The driver, who was going westbound, went through the crosswalk, hitting the woman. The woman was transported to hospital in critical condition. She later died in the hospital from her injuries.

On Friday, a  57-year-old man was charged by police for this incident. 

He is facing two charges,  Drive Carelessly - Cause Death (Highway Traffic Act) and Disobey Traffic Control Device - Cause Death (Highway Traffic Act).
