A vehicle was carjacked by a woman with a knife at a gas station on Corydon Avenue Sunday.

Winnipeg Police say they received a report of the incident on April 12 just after 6:00 p.m.

The carjacking took place in the 2000 block of Corydon Ave.

The driver of the vehicle was confronted by a female with a knife while the vehicle was parked. The driver was not harmed and the suspect fled the scene in the vehicle.

The vehicle was seen speeding by officers from the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) Tactical Support Team before the suspect crashed the vehicle in the area of River Ave and Mayfair Ave.

After a short chase on foot, the suspect was arrested.

A 31-year-old woman has been detained in custody with multiple charges, including Robbery, Wear Disguise with Intent to Commit Offence, and Flight While Pursued by a Peace Officer.
