He's only 13 and yet he's been fundraising baby formula for Winnipeg Harvest for four years.
Atticus McIlraith was honoured at the Legislature last week, invited by MLA Sarah Guillemard. He was presented an award, which McIlraith says will help raise awareness.
"For some reason -- don't know why -- whenever I receive an award people want to take pictures. And those pictures always end
up on social media."
McIlraith says he's not typically keen on having his picture taken but he recognizes the awareness that comes with it.
He says he bases his fundraising goals on last year's performance, and last year he raised $17,000 worth.
He has raised more than $40,000 to date, and says the goal for this year's drive hasn't been set yet but he's guessing between $15,000 and $20,000.
