In a memo obtained by CHVN, the City of Winnipeg's Fire and Paramedic Chief says that they will continue to take precautionary measures if a WFPS member comes into contact with the virus.
The City of Winnipeg's Fire and Paramedic Chief says in a memo that Station 21's risk of exposure to COVID-19 was "negligible to non-existent."
The station was put in self-isolation after possibly coming into contact with COVID-19 until it was determined safe to leave.
"The safety, health, and well-being of our staff and citizens is paramount," Chief Lane says.
The memo says that the WFPS will be using protective gear when in contact with a patient and adds they will continue to update practices.
