If it's just too hot outside, head inside an air conditioned building and watch a Fringe show. There are lots of great family-friendly options, including The Red Letters, Mennonite's Guide to Savage Street Fighting 4, Blink's Garden and Crabapple Trolls.

Winnipeg outdoor pools

There are so many outdoor pools in Winnipeg and this might be the perfect weekend to go check them out. Wading pools and spray pads are also open throughout the city and might be one of the best ways to cool down. Might also be a good time to check out the brand new water park in Transcona, or head to Fun Mountain, though they might be pretty busy.

Nearby beaches

You can also get out of the city for a swim and head to a local beach. If you missed it, we have five beaches that are just a close drive from Winnipeg and are also really nice.

Ice cream outside

There are lots of great ice cream places around the city, and where you go depends on where you are. But we recommend taking the family out for ice cream sometime this weekend to stay cool.
