Carson Richard and Wilfred James Chartrand (JJ) were suspects in a double stabbing report, they fled the scene but have been found and placed under arrest with the help of the public.

On June 27, the RCMP put out a notice of police searching for Richard, 20 years old, and Chartrand, 18 years old, after responding to a double stabbing report on Saturday and finding two men in their twenties with stab wounds in Camperville, Manitoba.

"Initial investigation has determined that a fight broke out between two groups of people in front of a residence. It appears to have started as a robbery of one female walking on the street. Other individuals became aware of this and arrived at the location, where the fight ensued," says the news release.

A 26-year-old male was transported to a Winnipeg hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was last reported to still be in critical condition. A 21-year-old was also transported to the local hospital and was in stable condition.

Winnipegosis RCMP arrested Richard yesterday afternoon and found and arrested Chartrand early this morning.

The RCMP thanks the public and the media for their assistance.
