A 14-year-old has been charged with public mischief and uttering threats after a bomb scare at Winnipeg's Churchill High School.

A threatening note was found by staff members around 10 yesterday morning.

Students were evacuated as a precaution, but were allowed back in the building after police searched the school.

Police say no items of concern were found.

On Tuesday, Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School in Selkirk was put on lockdown and police were called to a report of a student with a firearm and ammunition in a backpack.

RCMP arrested a 17-year-old student without incident and a firearm and ammunition were seized. The 17-year-old is facing charges.
