An incredible 2017 Canada Summer Games has come to an end. For those who missed it, or want to relive it, here's the full recap!

The 'Hottest Summer in Half a Century' is over and athletes from around the country are headed home. Team Manitoba doesn't have to go far, after hosting this years Games here in Winnipeg.

Many of the athletes will be going home with some additional luggage too, as Manitoba won a total of 42 medals, placing them 6th in the standings, right after Nova Scotia and ahead of our prairie neighbours Saskatchewan.

Team 'Toba picked up 10 gold medals, including Team Manitoba victories in Female Indoor Volleyball and CanoeKayak IC-4 200m Female. Oksana Chaput took home two gold medals in swimming, along with a silver and a bronze.

15 silver medals were handed out to Manitobans, with second place fiishes in the 4x400m Relay Female, CanoeKayak C-2 1000m Female and the Triathlon 3x Relay Female. The Male Baseball team also won silver, playing Team Saskatchewan in front of a record-setting crowd for a U17 game, with 6800 people in attendence. Regan Hofley won two silver medals in Special Olympics Athletics, while Maddy Mitchell, Team Manitoba's flag bearer at the closing ceremony, picked up an individual silver in the CanoeKayak C-1 5000m Female.

And 17 third-place finishes by Team Manitoba brought a lot of bronze medals to the province. Team Manitoba was successful in securing wins at the 4x100m Relay Female, Basketball Female, two CanoeKayak events, and two rowing events. Kyla Roy, part of the silver medal winning Triathlon team, also won the bronze in the individual Triathlon.

Lots of Manitoban teams just missed out on bronze. Both male and female Golf teams finished in fourth, while the male Soccer team wasn't able to win their final game after putting together a great tournament, finishing in fourth. The other three Volleyball teams, which include the Male Indoor Volleyball team and both Beach Volleyball teams, finished their tournaments with a win, but ended up in fifth.

This is the second most gold medals Manitoba has ever won at a Canada Summer Games (the most game back in 2001). It is, however, the most medals the province has ever won in total, capping off a great two weeks for the host province.

Congratulations to all the athletes across the country. You've given Manitoba some incredible sporting moments, like this one between Team BC and Team Manitoba.
