Winnipeg Harvest and downtown restaurants have a unique fundraiser.

This year's Fast and Furious Feast with Winnipeg Harvest is happening tonight, May 26, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

You can purchases tickets online at Harvest's website, which allows you to enjoy food from a number of top downtown restaurants, including Shawarma Khan, Kawaii Crepe, East India Company, Bronuts and Little Slice of Heaven.

"The idea of it is to give back to local communities and food banks," Kylie Exner, development associate at Winnipeg Harvest said.

Harvest wants to invite everyone out to the event, especially newcomers.

The event is run with Give 30, which was started to address hunger and motivate people of all backgrounds to give to food banks. The initiative has raised more than $600,000 to fight hunger over the past five years.

"People should be supporting Winnipeg Harvest because we feed over 60,000 Manitobans each month," Exner said. "It's vital that we receive donations and help from the community to ensure that no one goes hungry."
