The women of Adult and Teen Challenge have now found a way to support their centre, and it involves making jewelry.

Adult and Teen Challenge (ATC) is now selling jewelry online. But it's not just random jewelry. It's handmade by the women at the Brandon's Women Centre. Tara Murray, Development Officer for ATC Central Canada, says that it's been amazing.

"We're having a great time [making the jewelry]," Murray said.

She says the program started with a woman from the States who goes to different Teen Challenge locations, different orphanages and different shelters for trafficked women and donates her time to teach.

"[This woman] trains them how to make jewelry," Murray said. "Then we can sell it at churches or online or whatever."

The woman donates her time and her money, providing stones for the programs so they can make a profit off whatever they sell.

And what they sell is unique. While some of the pieces are reproduced, most are unique and one-of-a-kind.

The jewelry program also offers a unique opportunity for families to support the program by booking a jewelry party. This is very similar to the popular 'paint night'.

"It's the same concept, but we teach how to make a bracelet or a necklace," Murray says. "Some of our students come and they help."

Starting now, you can support ATC Jewelry by going online to make a purchase or to book a party.
