Doesn't matter if you're staying in the city or heading out to the cabin. This weekend is going to be beautiful.

With highs over 25°C for the next week, it's shaping up to be the perfect summer weekend.

"This trend of above normal temperatures is continuing," said Natalie Hasell, a Warning Preparedness Meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Hasell said we aren't at the heat warning level yet, she said that may come next week, though it is too soon to tell.

Heat warnings are issued when there are two or more consecutive days where the daytime max is 32°C or greater, and the nighttime low is now below 16°C.

"You should still take precautions," Hasell warned. "The very young, the very old . . . if you work or exercise outside for an extended period of time [you should be cautious]."
