After the temperatures we've seen lately, Thursday's going to feel like beach weather in Winnipeg.

The high for Thursday is forecast to be 18 degrees.

Natalie Hasell with Environment Canada says it'll be a good time to prepare for the winter season.

"Check the shingles on your roof, check that all your windows close properly, have your furnace inspected if you haven't already," she says, adding you won't need a winterized vehicle for another week and a half but now may be a good time to get that taken care of.

Hasell says Friday and Saturday should be back to normal, with a bit of a bump in temperatures on Sunday.
