Winnipeggers have once again shown their generosity.

Last week, a group of firefighters volunteered their time to take part in the annual campout in an effort to raise funds and awareness for muscular dystrophy.

The team spent a total of three days and four nights on the roof of Station 4, which is located in the heart of Osborne Village.

They  participated in a variety of activities throughout the week including a special spa day, where all of the firefighters received a manicure.

The group collected funds using a boot on a rope. A number of firefighters also took to the streets during rush hour to collect funds.

In the end, they managed to raise a total of over $108,000, which beats last years total of $100,000.

The campout ran from March 6-9.
