RCMP have yet again caught a driver travelling at dangerous speeds on a Manitoba highway.

A 26-year-old driver was stopped on the Perimeter Highway just after midnight on May 3.

Police say the driver was travelling at 195 km/h.

They were fined $1293 for speeding. The stretch of highway's speed limit is 100 km/h.

The RCMP said in a release that "Speeding contributes to serious and fatal injury collisions."

Just two weeks ago RCMP had stopped a motorcyclist for speeding at 180 km/h on a busy highway.
