Manitoba RCMP are to begin their holiday-season checks for impaired drivers starting tomorrow.

All detachments will participate in the blitz, which the Mounties call the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program.

It will continue until New Year's Day.

Last holiday season, 105 people were charged with impaired driving and there were 30 roadside suspensions.

More than 11,700 vehicles were checked during 262 check-stops.
