It's a busy day for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as he makes a stop in Winnipeg today.

Trudeau will meet with the Prime Minister's Youth Council at Red River College's Princess campus this afternoon.

Later this evening he will host a town hall meeting at the University of Manitoba.

The meeting is part of an initiative that was started last year, that allows Trudeau to connect and engage with Canadians in their communities.

This year, he will discuss how to create growth that works for everyone, ways to prepare for the jobs of the future and how to build a stronger more resilient middle class. He will also talk about a number of local issues.

The town hall this evening is open to the public, however those interested in attending are asked to RSVP through MP Terry Duguid's website.

An RSVP does not guarantee a spot. Admission to the event will be on a first come, first served basis.

The event will get underway at 7 p.m. at Investors Group Athletic Centre, with doors opening at 5 p.m..
