Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is meeting with Mayor Brian Bowman and Premier Brian Pallister separately today.

PM Trudeau is in Winnipeg for his cabinet focussing on economic growth while fighting climate change.

Meetings will begin at nine a.m.at the Fairmont Hotel as Trudeau takes a break from his Cabinet. Trudeau's break during his Cabinet's retreat gives Manitoba's leaders the opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister for half an hour each.

Pallister told the Canadain Press that he wishes to discuss Carbon Tax, a topic he has openly opposed, and climate change with Trudeau. Mayor Bowman is suspected to discuss crime and safety with the Prime Minister as Winnipeg experienced a record high for homicides in 2019.

Both meetings will conclude by 10 a.m. when Trudeau will start the second day of his Cabinet retreat.
