A priest and five worshippers were killed in the middle of Mass when their church was attacked in Burkina Faso on Sunday.

The attack took place in the city of Dablo, about 200 KM from the capital, Ouagadougou.

Officials say that gunmen stormed into the church and opened fire.

Reports say that the gunmen also burned down a health centre and destroyed all places serving alcohol.

Burkina Faso has seen a rise in attacks lately from religious extremists. A protestant church was attacked two weeks ago, leaving six people dead.
