The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) is looking for public assistance after a multi-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

On Thursday morning, a 21-year-old female was struck by two separate vehicles, one after another. An SUV and a pick-up truck were both travelling northbound on St. Anne's Road when the incident occurred. Police closed the intersection at St. Anne's and Aldgate Road.

The female was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Public Information Officer Constable Tammy Skrabek said on Friday there was no update on the condition of the female. Both vehicles remained at the scene.

Police are now looking for assistance to piece together what happened. Notably, police are searching for the occupants of a white pick-up truck who may have seen or narrowly missed the female just prior to the collision and would like to speak to them.

"To piece what preceded the accident together, they are still looking for witnesses," Skrabek explained.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
