Two new cases of COVID-19 are being reported in Manitoba today, bringing the provincial total to 324.

According to health officials, these latest cases are a woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s, both from the Winnipeg health region.

Meantime, public health is providing more information regarding the four cases announced Saturday.

Officials say they are two men in their 30s and one man in his 40s from the Winnipeg health region, as well as one man in his 30s from the Southern Health – Santé Sud health region.

Preliminary information shows that most of these cases are related to travel or are close contacts of previously identified cases.

Investigations are ongoing.

Currently, there are no reports of people in hospital in Manitoba due to COVID-19. The number of related deaths in the province remains at seven.

Officials continue to monitor 17 active cases, while 300 Manitobans have recovered from the novel Coronavirus.

An additional 789 laboratory tests were performed on Friday, with 1,021 on Saturday and 471 on Sunday. This brings the total number of tests performed since early February to 63,056.
