The lovable Canada Games mascot will now have a permanent place in the hearts of many kids at the Children's Hospital.

As one of their final acts, the Canada Summer Games Host Society made a generous community donation.

"Canada Summer Games have been very generous, they donated 2500 Niibin stuffed toys for the children inside the hospital," Lawrence Prout, President and CEO of the Children's Hospital Foundation, said. "That's going to make a child's life brighten up for the day."

Niibin was the mascot for the 2017 Summer Games and was loved by many across the country.

"It's a really great opportunity for us to leave a legacy in our community of the Canada Summer Games," Jeff Hnatiuk, President and CEO of the Canada Summer Games, said. "Niibin was such a great mascot."

Hnatiuk said they wanted to make this donation to the Children's Hospital because Niibin has been such a big hit with the children in the communtiy.

The dolls will stay with the children for a long time, but the mascot is likely done as the 2017 Canada Summer Games completely wraps up.
