Two Liverpool players were recently baptized in a ceremony posted to social media.

Roberto Firmino and Alisson Becker, both Brazilian soccer players, are seen being baptized in the Instagram video.

Firmino, 28, walks into the pool where his teammate and friends wait for him, and he is seen smiling before he is dunked under the water.

Once he is brought back up, Firmino leaves the pool and is hugged by his wife, Larissa.

Te dei meus fracassos e as vitórias te darei também 🙌🏻 Meu maior título é o Teu Amor Jesus! Portanto, se alguém está em Cristo, é nova criação. As coisas antigas já passaram; eis que surgiram coisas novas”! Novo tempo 🙏🏻❤️😁

The baptism ceremony featured Lauren Daigle’s You Say playing in Portuguese and black t-shirts worn by Firmino and Becker, as well as others in attendance, that show a picture of the cross followed by an equal sign and a heart.

Around the pool, attendees can be seen wiping tears from their eyes at the display of faith.

At the time of posting, the video has received over 18,000 comments.

In a translation of the post’s caption, Firmino pledges to give his victories and his failures to Christ.

“My greatest title is your love, Jesus! So, if anyone is in Christ; it’s new creation. Old things have passed; behold, new things have appeared,” Firmino says.
