A BC man has admitted responsibility for a fatal Winnipeg hit-and-run that killed a 62-year-old grandmother.

Gater Browne, 40, pleaded guilty to criminal negligence causing death, dangerous driving causing death, and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

Court heard on August 3rd, 2017, he was behind the wheel of a stolen pickup that cut off another driver, veered into the curbside lane and struck Marlene Eusonio who was standing beside her car.

Eusonio was dragged a short distance before she fell to the ground and was run over.

Browne is set to be sentenced on September 25.
