A 35-year-old is facing a homicide charge and two charges for assaulting an officer.

On October 21, 20-year-old Dennis Beardy was found dead in the 600 block of Ellice Avenue by Winnipeg police officers.

On Sunday, the Winnipeg Police Service made an arrest in relation to the homicide.

A 35-year-old man is being charged with:

  • Second Degree Murder
  • Assault Peace Officer x 2
  • Disarm Peace Officer
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
