A couple of streets will be shut down over the weekend and could cause some traffic delays.

  • The Arlington Bridge will be closed from Logan Avenue to Dufferin Avenue starting at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 8 until Wednesday, April 12 at 6:00 a.m. This is to help with bridge inspection and regular maintenance. Pedestrian sidewalk access is still permitted. Alternate routes include McPhillips Street Underpass or Slaw Rebchuck Bridge.
  • Sherbrook Street will be closed from Notre Dame Avenue to McDermot Avenue starting Friday, April 7 at 8:00 p.m. until Monday, April 10 at 6:00 a.m. A large crane is being disassembled and space is needed for that to happen Pedestrian sidewalk access will be allowed on the east sidewalk. The Manitoba Clinic can be accessed via Olivia Street off of McDermot Avenue. Alternate routes include Isabel Street and Arlington Street.
  • Albert Street will be closed from Sunday, April 8 at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, April 10 at 8:00 a.m. for film production. Pedestrian access will be maintained and area businesses will not be affected. Props for the film will also be set up in Market Square.
  • The Midtown Bridge northbound will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday, April 9 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for film production. Southbound will be affected by intermittent traffic disruptions. Citizens are asked to avoid the area. Pedestrian access will be available southbound only.
  • Memorial Boulevard from York Avenue to St. Mary Avenue will be closed this Sunday, April 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the Vimy Ridge Memorial Service. Pedestrian access wll be maintained.
