Musician Jaylene Johnson has known the pain of wanting to be a mother then being told there is almost no chance of having that experience. She graciously shares this story publically for the first time with CHVN for Infertility Awareness Week.

After tests were taken, Johnson's doctor told her and her husband that they had almost zero chance of ever having children.

"... far less than one percent. We got in the car after that experience, and I was just bawling, and my husband said 'she didn't say zero.'"

About a month later, the night before she was heading to a cabin alone to write a new album, she took a test and discovered that she was pregnant. She didn't tell her husband for a while wondering if it would miraculously be a successful pregnancy.

"Even throughout the pregnancy at first it's like 'will this go well, is this gonna be okay.' You know the baby that's growing inside you deserves every bit of hope and excitement but you still have that little bit of hesitation hoping that things are going to work out. And praying that they're going to work out. Praise God they did."

She now has a young daughter and a second miracle child is on the way, but she still remembers the pain of the losses they experienced. She wrote the song Let The Silence Speak to express that grief.

"I thought, 'how do I address this topic in a way that's sensitive and honouring to the grief people are going through but also honouring to God and what God is doing in our lives?' So it's my attempt at it. I hope it will bless and minister to people. If you are experiencing this kind of hurt and pain or you know somebody who is, please e-mail me and let me know. I would love to send you that song free of charge and just send it as a gift to you and really my heart is that it would be a comfort to people."
