Winnipeg Blue Bombers offensive coordinator Paul LaPolice is heading for the nation's capital according to reports.

TSN's CFL reporter Dave Naylor says that the Ottawa Redblacks will be introducing LaPolice as their new head coach.

LaPolice has been serving as the Bombers OC since returning to the team before the start of the 2016 season.

He had also served as the Bombers head coach from 2010-12. He took the team to the Grey Cup in 2011, before being fired after a slow start in 2012.

Multiple media outlets say the Redblacks will likely make the announcement on Monday.

The Redblacks appeared in last year's Grey Cup, losing to the Calgary Stampeders. However, this year they were at the bottom of the CFL with a record of 3-15.
