During his acceptance speech for people's choice "Comedy Act of 2019," an award-winning comedian and actor gave thanks to God for saving his life.

Kevin Hart made his first public appearance at the People's Choice Awards on November 10 after his near-fatal car crash on September 1.

Hart walked out with no sign of injury to accept the award and received a standing ovation from the crowd as Kanye West's song "Strongerechoed behind him.

After thanking Robert Downey Jr. for presenting the award Hart placed all the focus on God. "First and foremost man, thank God because I definitely don't have to be here," Hart says.

He continues with what he is going to do with his life moving forward. "Being that I am, it makes me appreciate life even more. It makes me appreciate the things that really matter," Hart says.

The comedian goes on to thank his family, children, and fans for supporting him throughout his recovery and "my difficult time," Hart says.

Hart has been active on social media to promote the sequel to his movie Jumanji but has not made a public stage appearance since the accident.

In his first post after the accident, he stated that God had changed his perspective on life and that he is thankful for the time he has.
