Several highways are closed in western Manitoba Monday evening.

Manitoba Infrastructure sent out a notice just after 8 p.m. that the following highways are closed:

  • Highway 5, from Roblin to Saskatchewan Border

Freezing drizzle and mist has resulted in ice-covered highways in the region.

All of southern Manitoba is currently under a special weather statement as a Colorado low heads for the province. Freezing drizzle is in the forecast for many regions for this evening and Tuesday, ahead of wet, heavy snow that is expected with the storm.
