Michael Amadio scored 3:40 into double overtime to lift the Vegas Golden Knights past the Winnipeg Jets 5-4 Saturday afternoon in front of a sold-out “White Out” at Canada Life Centre.

The Golden Knights now lead the NHL’s best-of-seven Western Conference quarterfinal two games to one.

Game three came to an end when a pass by Winnipeg defenseman Dylan Samberg deflected off Vegas forward Ivan Barbashev and went right to Amadio who buried his first Stanley Cup playoff goal just under the cross bar and past Connor Hellebuyck.

Jack Eichel had a pair of power play markers for the Knights.

Chandler Stephenson and Keegan Kolesar had the other Vegas goals.

Kyle Connor scored in the first period for the Jets who trailed 2-1 and 4-1 at the period breaks.

Nino Niederreiter started Winnipeg’s third period rally as he beat Laurent Brossoit 2:04 in.

Mark Scheifele’s power play goal at 14:08 cut the deficit to 4-3.

Adam Lowry scored the equalizer with 22 seconds left in regulation and Hellebuyck on the bench for an extra attacker.

Game four is Monday at Canada Life Centre.

Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey suffered a lower-body injury in the first period and has been ruled out for the remainder of the first round series.
